The High Usage awards highlight the global reach and impact of Emerald content
Bingley, United Kingdom, 1 March 2016 – Emerald Group Publishing has revealed the top 20 global academic institutions with the highest downloads of Emerald eJournal content as part of its 5th annual High Usage awards.
The High Usage awards celebrate and recognize the relationship between Emerald and the winning institutions; acknowledging the wide-ranging, high quality content and services Emerald provides to faculty and students, and rewarding the loyalty of its customers.
Last year’s winner, Universiti Teknologi MARA, is once again the institution with the highest number of Emerald eJournal downloads with over 970,000 downloads during 2015; Universiti Utara remains in second place and Monash University has climbed two places into third with over 333,900 and 290,000 eJournal downloads during 2015, respectively.

The widespread locations of the winning institutions emphasize the global reach of Emerald’s high quality content, with institutions from Malaysia, Australia, UK, USA, Pakistan and Thailand all within the top 20 institutions.
The top 20 winning institutions of eJournal content, in order of highest usage figures are: Universiti Teknologi MARA; Universiti Utara Malaysia; Monash University; University of Phoenix; Liberty University; Northumbria University; University of Manchester; The Institute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM); SEGi International Bhd; IQRA University; University of Liverpool; Griffith University; University of Queensland; Curtin University; RMIT University; Universiti Teknologu Malaysia; University of Greenwich; Assumption University of Thailand; University of Huddersfield; Universiti Putra Malaysia.
