Children’s Collection

The Children's Collection was started in 1987 and represents an extensive collection of books written for children and young ages which comprised of more than  15,000 items. Most of the collection reflecting the ethnic and multicultural diversity of UUM community and items can be found using LibSearch. It also supports UUM studies in education and child development, art and more. Therefore even though it serves as a resource for the children of UUM staffs and students, it also opened to all users as a reference materials.

It is located at the PSB Main Building on the ground floor near the Auditorium 1 and Smart Reading Room and opened only by request (refer to Infodesk) during normal Semester session and Sunday-Thursday during Semester Break.

The children’s collection is organized by subjects; rather than pinpointing a book’s subject as specifically as possible, the categories are typically broader and have been devised based on the kinds of categorizing that children of different ages do and uses the language that they use.
