PROGRAM BACKGROUND

In 2024, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) celebrate its 40th Founding Day anniversary on February 16, 2024, as well as the UUM Visit Year 2024. UUM has planned to commemorate the UUM Visit Year by organizing 40 prestigious programs as part of the UUM event calendar.

Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah has planned to hold eight (8) programs and activities in conjunction with this historic celebration since December 2023. The programs are as follows:

  1. PSB Timeline Exhibition (Physical and Online)
  2. Scavenger Hunt (23/1/2024)
  3. Narrative of Former Chief Librarians (6/2/2024)
  4. Forum: Reminiscing the Past, Evoking Hope (20/2/2024)
  5. TikTok Founding Competition @PSB (3/12/2023-14/3/2024)
  6. PSB 40th Anniversary Documentary
  7. Who’s Who Publication (Online)
  8. Makan Malam Nostalgia PSB

The programs and activities that have been and will be carried out are aimed at obtaining unwritten information that needs to be known by the UUM community. These initiatives will also foster a sense of love and appreciation among the university community towards the Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah and Universiti Utara Malaysia in general.

University Archives Division, Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah, will record, store documents, and make recordings throughout these programs for the purpose of adding to the UUM Archives collection.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
  1. Instilling the appreciation of noble values through the sharing of PSB’s development history and fostering love and appreciation for the university through the sharing of UUM’s founding history.
  2. This program aims to engage and build bonds among staff, former staff, corporate companies, stakeholders, and interested individuals.
  3. Funds to the PSB trust fund to finance infrastructure upgrade projects at PSB in order to provide the best services to users.

  1. Platinum Package (RM4,000)

  2. Gold Package (RM3,000)

    • One exclusive gift and a certificate of appreciation
  3. Silver Package (RM2,000)
    • Table placement in the third row of the hall (please refer the table layout)
    • Organization logo on the backdrop of the Makan Malam Nostalgia PSB
    • Organization logo in the Makan Malam Nostalgia PSB souvenir book
    • One exclusive gift and a certificate of appreciation
  4. Bronze Package (RM1,500)
    • Table placement in the fourth row of the hall (please refer the table layout)
    • Organization logo in the Makan Malam Nostalgia PSB souvenir book
    • One exclusive gift and a certificate of appreciation
  5. Individual Package (RM 150 / pax)
    • Table placement in the fourth row of the hall (please refer the table layout)

Reservations and Booking
  • Reservations must be made by 18th Sept 2024.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations.

  • Guests with dietary restrictions or allergies should inform us to ensure appropriate arrangements are made.

  • Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah is not liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury occurring during the event.
  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and for any damage caused to the venue.
