In fact, almost every image, video, and sound clip on the Internet is copyrighted\u00a0<em>by default<\/em>\u00a0in the United States (regardless of whether it actually says &#8220;copyrighted&#8221; anywhere).\u00a0<\/p><p>Even if your assignment doesn&#8217;t require you to cite multimedia content, it&#8217;s good practice to include the author&#8217;s name and the source of the image, video, or sound file (e.g. the name of the\u00a0website or the URL). For example, what is common knowledge to mathematicians may not be common knowledge to psychologists.
